Does anyone own a Vtech ia5874 cordless phone?

I recently purchases a Vtech ia5874 cordless phone with an answering machine. I like the phone but the caller ID doesn't show up until after the second ring. this wasn't an issue before purchasing this phone and my non Vtech phone works perfectly. Customer support are a bunch of idiots and not helpful. anyone else have this problem and if so did you correct it?

Well, is it really necessary that it pick up on the first ring? If the ringing is a problem, shut the ringer off.

Also, depending on the cycle, you may hear the tail end of a ring before the equipment sees it. I know it sounds strange, but it's true.

I incredibly have the three %. and it works super. it has a lot of cool effective factors. and you may could be extra particular than v-tech 5.8 because of the fact I incredibly have 2 telephone #s and the telephones say the comparable component on them yet a thoroughly diverse layout. besides, they are sturdy telephones nevertheless.
