Vitamin C, because it is water soluble and the body takes what it needs the rest gets peed out, other vitamins are fat soluble and stay in your body longer, which means if you take too much it could be toxic.

I just read some information on Vitamin D . Skin exposure to the sun causes us to make our own Vitamin D. However in the winter months we're mostly inside ( where it's cold ) and covered up when outside. Also with many fearing skin cancer in the summer months, they apply sunscreen almost every time they go out in the sun. The book I was reading actually suggesting that if you are using over an 8 sunscreen block, to not put it on until you have been in the sun for 15 to 20 minutes to give your body a chance to use the suns rays to make Vitamin D. Alot of people also don't get enough from their diet, especially if they don't drink milk . Now I know you're not supposed to load up on vitamin D like you might Vitamin C and such, but getting a little sun, drinking some milk, or a good multi vitamin should do it.

If I'm correct, the most deficient vitamin in our body is vitamin D, because your body can't produce it, you ingest it by eating greens, but then you need sunlight for it to work. Of course, vitamin deficiency depends on the food you eat. Not everybody has the same nutrition and that's why not everybody has the same vitamin deficiency. The deal is that you should eat wide range of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, dairy and meat in order to receive optimal amounts of all the vitamins.
