Mr. Gorgeous Fluffpot has just eaten a very garlicky spag-bol cooked by him and is now wandering around the house leaving a stinky trail of garlic behind him. I have all the windows open and am typing with a clothes-peg on my nose, but how can I get his breath nice and clean before he gets into bed tonight and I have to share the same air. HELP!!

Don't cook anything with garlic. There are garlic supplemental pills that he can take in stead of eating actual one. Ask him to gargle with mouthwash twice, then brush teeth. If he still stinks send him back to the restroom to repeat the whole process.

Get him to chew some parsley - ever wondered why it's put on dishes in restaurants? Not to look pretty, but to freshen breath of garlic! This isn't a joke :)

Get him to drink as much water as he can over the period between now and bedtime. This will flush the garlic out of his system. Alternatively have some garlic yourself and you won't notice it.

if you can get him to rinse with white vinegar, that should take care of the garlic, a good brushing and mouthwash should get rid of the vinegar.

good luck!
