Hanukkah, as well as other Jewish holidays, are often associated with white and blue because those are the colors of the Israeli flag. However, if you look online for Hanukkah candles, you'll mostly see bright color/multi-color candles - it's strictly a personal preference.

i would have to agree with the israeli flag. but also why are christmas colors green and red? the flag is blue and white though because blue is the water and white is the sky and it is suppose to represent that g-d is all around us, and for jews channukah isnt about gifts it is about the miracles that heppened them and the temple and the big thing is that g-d WAS with the jews during those times so maybe that is why the colors are blue and white and maybe silver because channukah is becoming present oriented so they wanted it to be prettier!

It isn't however many people practice Hanukkah only as a part of their identity not religion and Hanukkah and the israeli flag are both parts of their Jewish identity

I am Jewish and it's like that because they were in Israel at the time and the Israeli flag is blue and wight

I'm Jewish and was born in Israel
and I never heard of Hannukah
being represented by these colours...
Where did you get that from?
It's a first for me...
