Facts and reason hardly ever get in the way of religious belief. The human ability to rationalize away inconvenient facts into order to maintain belief is nearly infinite.

I would love it if they found life on Mars, but have look down the answers and you will see the this will not stop religion, they don't even know why it should.

If they find the lost dog, Rover was is his name, maybe the Martians have him.

If you know Mars probes you will recall Rover has been lost for a few years.

Open the Quran and read a translation of the first chapter. It mentions very quickly that God (Allah) is the "Lord of the Worlds". The translation of "worlds" includes the animal world, human world, plant world etc. The basic belief is that God created the entire universe, (including the Sun, Earth and Mars) and everything in it.

Al-Fatiha | 7 verses | The Opening سورة الفاتحة Sura #1 | Makkah
1 In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
2 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
3 The Beneficent, the Merciful.
4 Master of the Day of Judgment,
5 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
6 Show us the straight path,
7 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

Where are the two connected? How does finding "flowing water" on Mars, or even extraterrestrial life negate religion?

Not really. One seems to think that there was life on Mars long ago but now we have moved on to this planet: Earth.

What does life on another planet have to do with ending religion, God made us all, all the planets everything, man made religion, took God's words and changed it to suit himself, so he could have power and control

I hope there is. It would be nice and would perhaps give us some insight in what it takes to create life. I would say it is 50/50 though. We'll know when we find it and we'd definitely have to search those sediments for organic material.

No life on mars, sorry. The Bible says that Eve is the mother of all living.

Nope.

If a civilization that was millions of years older than ours contacted us and had no idea what the hell the Christians were talking about, they would try to convert them rather than take that as evidence they were wrong.

How could it possibly affect religion?
Creation of the universe doesn't just mean earth.
What you should be asking is just WHAT does exist on there?
