If white people became the minority in America, will they be treated badly?

I always have wondered this. But white people, you don't have to worry about me because I will still be nice to you! What do you think?

What do you mean if. On the southern border this is already the case. It is happening everywhere. In several stores you will find signs posted in Spanish only. I thought I was still on the north side of the border. I was at a local hospital yesterday and all of the T.V.'s in the waiting area were on Spanish channels. We are constantly treated with disrespect. At Walmart cashiers assume that we all speak Spanish and when we don't we get hit with the "Why don't you speak Spanish, you live on the border".

We already are. Problem is I have never personally done anything to anybody to deserve it. My family never owned slaves. My family has always been in the low to medium wage scale so they've never acted or treated anyone like they were better than them. So it's punishing the masses for the indescretions of a few. I know I have been treated badly for no reason except for being white by people I've never even met. I wouldn't even THINK of doing it. There's those out there that are chomping at the bit to be able to take their hostilities out on a race. Wonder how they'll feel when they are faced with the reality that "white" isn't the problem?

That would be great. I can use the ACLU to sue you if you call me white instead of European American, my daughter can go to college without having a decent SAT score, and can graduate high school without being able to read or write English. I can make sure that every company has the right amount of white employees or sue them to get on if they don't. Even if I'm not as qualified as the people I jumped over! Then I can start WET TV without being called a racist, I can act like Jesse Jackson and go screaming to the press every time a white person is shot by a police officer, and blame all my problems on the terrible shame and guilt my ancestors caused with slavery, and stealing Texas and California from Mexico! You don´t have to be a minority to be treated badly or to be the victim of racism.

In Mexico the white minority is treated better than the majority because they´re considered socially and economically superior (whether it is true or not).

(1) while there may come a time in the near future when caucasians are no longer in the majority themselves, it will be quite a while before any other ethnicity or race comprises 50%+ of the American population.
(2) It will be even longer before minorities rise to positions of power in the majority of businesses and government (which is what it would take for "reprisal" to happen)
(3) Sure there will likely be some (ifthe prevalent attitudes toward race and politics continue; we're talking a hundred years or more here... look what the ideas about race were like 100 years ago!) but I don't think it will be all out segregation or widespread discrimination.

Why would you wonder about that.. what our ancestor did to African Americans and Native Americans... that seems a bit unfair given the fact, not one of us was ever involved in that, this is not the 1700s ,1800s and keep in mind the civil rights movement was only in the South. This Country is completely different, we have grown as a country and I think it is terrible when people rationalize living in the past as what people did when not one of them had anything to do with what other people did. Our history is getting lost and distorted with each generation, and it is sad... I hope you develop a better outlook about our history and what our country is today, because if you continue to worry about stuff like this you will continue to live in the past and never look ahead toward your own future.. here is my response to you yesterday about it white people became a minority:

I really don't like that term minority.... are there really minorities anymore... I think Asians and Native Americans are, but as far as White, African American, Hispanic, and Women- I don't think so... when I shop at a store.. the majority of people are NOT white... it's mixed... when you go to school are the majority of students white?? So I don't think White people are a majority anyway... but as far as if they became a minority, do I think the country will get bad.. my question is why would they... I think all races are going to grow, I don't think any of them are going to decrease... unless suddenly white people become infertile – White people are not only in the US, they are in a whole bunch of other countries.. so why would we ever become a minority instead growing with all the other races that live with us

i think of so. there continues to be a wing of the Democratic occasion it relatively is seen reasonable. i'm an self sufficient reasonable who's leaning Hillary if she gets the nod, yet will truly vote for McCain if Obama gets the nod, so i might say that loads of reasonable Democrats will want McCain to Obama. that's why i think of Hillary is extra electable than Obama. She has won primaries in enormous crimson states and maximum of Obama's help has come from caucuses the place in straightforward terms a small volume of human beings also have a say.

Due to government programs like affirmative action,the middle class white male is already discriminated against in the United States."Sorry we cant hire you, we need to hire more minorities", Sorry we cant let you into this college, we need more minorities" People like Farrakhan, Quanell X,Al Sharpton, groups like LULAC,LARAZA,The New Black Panthers,The Millions More Movement, dint even try to mask their outright hatred and discrimination towards the white man. Its already here. Anyone can be a racist, it isn't just the whites that are racist. Some of the worst racism in this country is coming from the :minority groups" and is being focused on the whites.

in many areas whites are already the minority and being treated badly; BTV, black Miss America, black mayor's conference, minority contract awards, etc. are all discriminatory to whites; all of those things are racist and perpetuate division among the races
