I am only 28 and I have thinning hair I know it is caused from stress. That part I am working on, but someone suggested to try taking pre-natal vitamins to get my hair to regrow. Is that a bad idea if I am not pregnant and never have been?

No it is not a bad idea. Prenatal Vitamins are great for you, even if your not pregnant. My doc has always told me to take them even if i was not pregnant!!! It is a great multivitamin, but you may want to be checked out by a doc about the hair loss. Something else may be causing it!!! Good luck!!

Pre-natal vitamins is pratically the same thing cause your body only takes what it can get and it get rids of the rest even if you give more than the usual pills do.Thats a waste cause your body wont take it a good source of vitamins is always good for your hair and everything of your body. Nourishhair in GNC is a great example my mother had no hair thinning of the stree so she took my advice she cut it short so it can grow even again started taking those vitamins and she seeing results

A complete multivitamin is good for you to take everyday ANYWAY. Women have different outcomes with pregnancy-and I think that is more due to hormones. With my daughter, my hair was nice and thick, my face was practically pimple free-I had the glow. With my son, I didn't get that glow until I was about 6 months pregnant, and my hair was thinner on top and I started sprouting a few extra hairs on my chin! I took my vitamins faithfully throughout. Talk to your doctor about your concerns about your hair. It may be a vitamin deficiency, or it may just be a matter of what shampoo you use. But taking a good multi-vitamin is not a bad idea.(Take it at the end of the day on a full stomach.)

Pre-natal vitamins are terrific nutritional supplement for a woman's overall health. But try adding a B-complex vitamin, 400 IU if vitamin E, and especially 1,000 mg L-cysteine, an essential amino acid which will help nourish the hair follicles from within and help you achieve healthy beautiful hair you desire. =^..^=

prenatal vitamins are just vitamins. You can basically take regular vitiamins and get some effect. You may want to see your physician first to be sure it is stress and not some other organic reason you are losing your hair.

This is a good guide with a step-by-step method to get your hair back http://hairagain.toptips.org

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It's caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation. There are many factors that can attribute to hair recession or massive hair fall. You can try to regain your full head of healthy hair by following natural methods: they are cheaper, they have no side effect and very often more effective than conventional one.

As said above an interesting guide you can follow to get your hair back and prevent future hair loss without dangerous chemicals and drugs, and without expensive supplements or painful hair transplants is available on this site: http://hairagain.toptips.org

You might want to check with your doctor and have a thyroid test. If your 28, that is close to the age when women start developing Thyroid problems supposedly. It's very common, I happen to be hypothyroid. Some of the symptoms is extra hairloss, fatigue, weight gain and mood swings. If that's the case the medication they prescribe for it, may help with the hair loss problem. My hair stylist at Regis, started taking some vitamins that are suppose to improve hair (I think they sell them at Regis). She said they helped her hair grow...but also made the hair on her legs grow faster and had to shave them more often....hehe, the things we talk to our hairstylists about :)
