The game playing has started. He wants to see if you'll call him first and all that nonsense. Move on.

The objectionable answer from John Doe which is an open invitation to prostitution is in this answer also.Yahoo may like to see it and see whether it falls within the four corners of community guidelines.

Coming to the question. As another answerer has pointed out the Game of Love has started. The ground is being tested. You may make a countermove. It may take the form of total silence or an equally cold response; The next strategic step would depend on the response or lack of it.

He apologized for not being able to keep your date what more do you want? Maybe something came up...maybe there was an emergency. You've only been texting and "chatting" with this guy, only "met up" a couple of times and you think you own him now? There is nothing to "take".

Proceed as if he will never contact you again.

If he does and you're free, fine. Be suspicious though. Only meet in a public place.

I have absolutely no grounds but my own suspicion for saying this next part, but I suspect he is married/committed and his "window of opportunity" fell through at the last moment.

Since he cancelled, and didn't stand you up, I wouldn't take issue with it...if you'd still like to see him why don't you suggest the next meeting time? If he doesn't go for that, then I'd leave it to him but not put life on hold waiting for him to make plans...

Stop reading between the lines...he cancelled cos he had to...it happens. Accept it at that.

why are people so ready to give up on what they want? If you like him...call him.

Best of luck...go get him!
