They usually get two as puppies...most vets are now giving 8 in 1 shots instead of the older 7 in 1. The only difference between the two is the 8 in 1 contains the vaccine for the corona virus as well as the other usual vaccines. Once they get their first two (and they should have them both by the time they are 3 months old), they just have to get booster shots once a year afterwards. Plus, you always want to consider getting them rabies shots. In some places rabies shots are a requirment. Most states are now using a 3 year rabies vaccine, which means of course, that they only have to get one every three years. Some veterinarians offer 5 year shots as well.

As for prices, you just need to call around to your local veterinarians offices and check the difference between them. If you are getting your puppy from a liscensed breeder or from a pet shop, they should already have their first shots, and maybe their second depending on their age. Good luck to you.

in the US, all puppies get a series of 3 shots. In many cases, if you get the dog from a breeder or pet store, the puppy will have already had the first in the series of 3. After the 3, they will get their rabies tag.

Anually, they will need a distemper shot, rabies shot and if you're planning on boarding them, a bordetella shot. They will also need monthly heart worm medicine.

If the dog ends up with worms, it will also need to be de-wormed.

They have 2 jabs that can be done as early as 6 weeks and again at 8weeks.they cant go out walking etc untill after there 2nd jab but you can still carry them around to get them used to new situations.Good breeders now even give the 1st jab to pups before they get rehomed but you will have to look for a breeder who will do this.A dog that has puppy jabs older then 12-13 weeks is going to need alot of catching up on socialisation.my little dog had her last jab at 10weeks and was out walking a week after.Good luck

Sos of top of head cannot think costs around £30 maybe per shot

Pupps should get two sets of worm vaccine...usually done by the breeder, 1 vaccine at 6 weeks, another 2-4 weeks late and 1 more following that...then at 3-4 month old comes the rabies vaccination...after that it is yearly

Prices vary with where you live. Call vets and ask them.

The newest protocol is to only give a DA2PP to puppies. Athe American Animal Hospital Association has the 2006 recommendations on their website.

This is the protocol followed by all 27 U.S. vet schools.

The usually have two. One at 6-8 weeks and another at 12. They can only go out after the second one. And I think they have boosters every couple of months. I'm not exactley sure.
