Do I need to purchase an additional memory card for her - if so what kind and where ??? thanks for your help

I agree with OMG. You will need another memory card because the supplied card will fill up quickly at high resolution. I'd recommend a 512Kb or 1Gig. Maybe two 512 cards.
A good site I have used for buying SD cards is www.newegg.com. They consistently have good prices and have always shipped quickly. I once bought a card whose advertised specs were better than what the card really had and their customer service was good about making that right.

Yep, you'll need to get a seperate memory card. The Canon SD630 takes SD/MMC type memory cards. SanDisk is one of the biggest brands for memory cards, and for compact cameras I usually recommend their Ultra ll line.
A 512 MB card should do fine, of if she'll also use the camera to take lots of videos, get a 1 GB size.
This card is faster and more reliable than the bargain basement cards, but you don't pay through the nose for super fast performace (which is only needed by digital SLR cameras.)

yes ebay ......sd memory card 1 gig should be good but check the owners manual for the specs or got too cannon web site for more info..
