I took my kitten to the vet and she was put on clavomax. Now my dog is showing symptoms of a cold with sneezing, runny nose, ect... did the cat get him sick or is it just a coincedence?

I suppose it just may be possible.
I know that upper respiratory infections are very contagious.
We don't have any dogs, but we have 4 cats and one of them is very prone to URI and every single time she gets one within two or three days her Sister has it too.

Just to be on the safe side I'll call the Vet and get his/her opinion.

I hope the Kitten and dog get well soon.

Critters can pass infections just like people can- Especially respiratory infections. It could well be that the dog caught it before you took your kitten to the vet.

No a cat can't pass the respiratory infection to your dog. I work at a place that we get upper respiratory quite often and the dogs don't catch it. Although dogs can get kennel cough
