First of all even guys' nipples protrude when they get cold. Nipples are very sensitive because even if you touch them with ur fingertips they will stand, the wind has that effect on them because of the cold. If you notice with guys when it gets hot, their testicles will hang away from the body so to cool themselves. When it gets cold they will attach themselves towards your body so as to get warm by body heat.

excess cold hinders the process of sperm production as well as excess heat. therefore our body performs this protective mechanism for our testis.
do u know when we were in the mother's womb our testes used to be inside? that's because the core temperature of the body was perfect for the sperm production and preservation of the same in the testes. but when we took birth as a new born the core temperature increased, which was again not good for testes and so it protruded out.
