I know that when I say this, a lot of people will get offended, but then, the Truth is the Truth and I can't answer your question by being Politically Correct.
Mohammad was an illiterate till his death.
He claimed that the Archangel Gabriel came to him and chose him to be the Prophet.
He claimed that he knew what had really happened in Jesus Christ's life - an event that took place more than 600 years before Mohammad was born!?
He claimed that he knew all the "flaws" in the Old and New Testaments and who had made the "changes".
How can anyone believe all this?
Here are a few quotations from the Koran which will help you get the Answer.
Muslims must fight until their opponents submit to Islam (surah 9:29).
Resisting Islam is punished by death, crucifixion or the cutting off of the hands and feet.(surah 5:33).
A Muslim must not take a Jew or a a Christian for a friend (surah 5:51)
When you encounter the unbelievers, Strike off their heads. Until you have made a wide slaughter among them tie up the remaining captives.(Sura 47.4)
However, you'll find that the Koran contradicts itself in almost everything, everywhere.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Muslims insist that violent passages in the Quran only apply to long-ago historical incidents (like the battle of Badr), but then also insist that the Quran is a book of guidance "for all times and all people."
A great majority of Muslims live in denial. They stay behind the closed door. They cannot go in nor they can dare to walk away from it. Muslims are cocooned in lies. Because speaking against Islam is a crime punishable by death, no one dares to tell the truth. Those who do do not live long. They are silenced very soon
The Internet has changed the balance of power.
Now a great number of them are coming in contact with the truth and they feel helpless. They want to silence this voice but they cannot. They want to kill the messenger but they cannot. They try to ban the sites exposing their cherished beliefs, sometimes they succeed momentarily but most of the times they don't.
Allah tells his prophet:
“O Prophet! rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers.”
Why should Allah send a messenger to make war? Shouldn’t God teach us to love each other and be tolerant towards each other’s beliefs?

There certainly is compulsion in Islam, those leaving are threatened, persecuted and could be jailed or perhaps murdered. If Muslims decide for to lie approximately it enable them to, its a stupid thought and as quickly as we see them pray in basic terms chortle your faces off at how dumb they are able to truly be. Muhammed replaced into the hitler of his time, a pedophile and that they love him making them heavily risky. The reasonable ones at the instant are not too undesirable, in basic terms trapped with the help of the idiots.

DIP STICK there are many non-muslim people who are liars, murderers, smugglers.........
If a verse in the Quran says to kill, the next verse immediatly says that if the enemy is inclined for peace, u also incline for peace. Muslims r supposed to fight only when they r fought.
u just base ur things on media and websites. if i do that also, I willl hate every relgion in this world too. Y don't u read the Quran on ur own with an open mind???

the Quran doesn't say the unbelievers should be murdered.
the verses you love to take out of context and never gonna try to, speak of a specific battle (Badr) during a time when Muslims were being oppressed and persecuted. at first Muslims had no direct orders to defend themselves then the verses were revealed to start fighting back those who attack them.
certain guide lines were given in order for Muslims to not go over the limits.
fighting is only allowed in case of self defense, civilians (men, women, children, elders, animals, and even plants) are not to be harmed, prisoners of war are to be treated fairly, etc.
during the 10 years period of conflict between the Muslims and non Muslims the death toll of non Muslims was only around 250 and the Muslims even less.

Unfortunately most think of Islam as projected by the media or gossip or hear-say or by the actions of a few individuals. But instead opinion about Islam needs to be based on reserach.

Didn't a court in Ethopia just rule that you could be beheaded for not praying 5 times a day? But there's no compulsion??

I think Muslims have explained this a thousand times. Do your research buddy. Why have christains lived side by side with Muslims for over a thousand years? Get a grip on yourself.
