can I play my personal DVD's and VHS tapes on a high definition TV?

yep you can play them but unless they were recorded in HD, they wont have that quality..sorry VHS tapes :(

Sure, but don't expect it to be in HD. If you have a upcoversion DVD player, you can get it to HD-like quality. But with VHS, I don't think there's any way you can get it up to HD quality. I think the best that you can do is 480p with a progressive VHS player.
