They are both forms of expression. Drama is verbal form of expressing feelings. Dance is a more subtle way n which body language, gestures and facial expressions are used.

Think about it, some strange woman walked up and said I want you NOW, you might buy it.
If she was enthusiastically humping you on the dance floor, you might she's really into you when she might just be having a good time.

Dance tends to be a more subtle (although not always) way of getting a feeling/story/mood across. Drama is a lot more obvious, although not always vocal either.

Put together, the two are a powerful way of portraying whatever the composer/author wanted to get across......

The three main aspects of dancing nritta (pure dance where the aspect of rhythm plays a major role. It moulds one’s character in terms of alertness and punctuality), nritya (the sentiment or the rasa and the psychological state or bhava. This contributes to the communication skills of a person not only to the richness of dance but also in mending one’s life.) and natya (like a theatre, some story or theme, which makes the dance meaningful. This aspect of dancing shapes the character of the dancer in terms of organising and orderly presentation.
