not long moved down to Glasgow and am looking for quirky/cheap pubs in the centre of Glasgow - big city so dont know where to start! Have been to Bier Halle near central station which has loads of different beers which was great. Does anyone know of any similar type of pubs?

McSorleys, The Admiral, The Pot Still, The Arches Bar, Rhoderick Dhu (purely because they have a smoking patio and its just like being inside having a drink and a smoke) Rab Ha's, The Brunswick Hotel, Blackfriars, McChuills.

My favourites are:
Bon Accord, North Street
State Bar, Holland Street
Station Bar (near Buchanan Bus Station)
Horseshoe, Drummond St?

A bit further out but I also like:
Tennents Bar, Byres Road
Clockwork Beer Company, Cathcart Road near Hampden Park

Try the pubs off of Hope street and Sauchie hall street. Wonderfull atmostphere. That's where all the laggers and scaffs hang out. Good banter second to none and all are welcome as long as you are not a bigot wearing bigots clothing.
