My bf and I broke up in March and are not on speaking terms. His parents have always liked me a lot and recently helped me out with a sticky situation (my ex wouldn't return an item of mine, and they sent the item back). Considering the circumstances, should I send them a card?

absolutely! it has nothing to do with their offspring but between you and them as people. they did you a personal favor and you in good faith can be grateful and wish them a blessed christmas isnt that what its all about peace and goodwill

The fight happened between you and your ex NOT between your and his parents. If you get along fine with them, it's definitely a good idea to write them a card. It will show them what a sweet and thoughtful person you are. Good luck!

Why wouldn't you? Even if they hadn't recently helped you out, but you had been fond of them (and vice versa) when you were dating their son, it's perfectly acceptable to send them an xmas card.

Send one to whomever you want. You don't have to have a reason or excuse...just the desire (and an address).

Yes! While the friendship you have with them may or may not last, it shows class and character to separate your feelings for them from the negative ones you have towards their son.

Yes, I think you should, the parents will really notice how nice you are and rub on the face of your ex bf how he missed a really good thing. (I love it when they do that)

Sure, if you really want to. His parents are not him and I am sure that they would appreciate getting a card from you.

No, send them a thank you card. That means they don't have to reciprocate.
