A) Because Nature does NOT do extraneous. Even those parts, like the appendix, which no longer have a function once had one.
B) There are those who say we DO have a third eye. It's simply not visible external to our faces and bodies. It's called the pineal gland. Many believe it to be the eye of the soul, which sees differently from physical eyes but can be trained to see the heart just as 20/20 as any physical eye can see the flesh.

because that's all you need. and the quantity and location of a human being's eyes is simply genius, its perfect for its purpose. and if you're a mere human being, an extra eye will wreak havoc on your sight (not to mention the sight of you)
