Budgies, as with any bird that has been bred for several generations, are susceptible to tumors more so than cists. Lancing this WILL kill your bird, unless it is performed professionally under surgery.

If it is a tumor and grown to the point where it is noticeable, 9 times out of 10, there’s not much that can be done. Budgies are small and delicate removing this could lead to a sooner death than leaving it.

Either way, take him to a vet!

No. Do not lance it.

In birds the cyst needs to get hard first. Then the avian vet lances just the skin and the whole thing pops out.
If you lance it before it's hard, It just keeps growing back and the bird could bleed to death.

Keep it clean for now. If you take it to a vet, make sure it's an avian vet, otherwise the others will also want to lance it since that's what you do in mammals.

If it's forming because of a feather, the feather will have to be removed so the cyst can heal.

There are too many possibilities here to tell you everything.

It would be best for you to take it to an avian vet.

Do not attempt to do this you will either really badly damage your budgie or kill it.This bird needs to see a vet so that they can remove the cist and test it, this is the best option for the sake of your budgie.

Do not try to lance the cyst yourself. You could kill your bird if you do. Take it into a Certified Avian Vet and have them remove the cyst. It might actually be an infection or something worse.
If you lance it yourself, you caould actually give the bird a systemic infection.

Are you MAD!!! TAKE IT TO THE VETS BEFORE YOU GET DONE FOR ANIMAL CRULITY. You wouldnt like it if someone came up to you and poked a lump with a hot needle would you ?

You would cause more damage then good, take it to the vets and get it seen to, they will drain it properly and remove it.

Take the poor thing to a vet...why would you want to torture the poor animal? If it bleeds, a budgie has only a small amount of blood, & can bleed out quickly.

No, no no! Birds can die of fright. Take it to a trained vet who knows what they're doing!!! What if it's not a cyst that will drain with lancing? Or what if it's something else?
Don't do this!

In reviewing your history of "questions" I truly hope you own NO pets - if you do, I hope they all find a way to escape from what is obviously a cruel and perverted environment!

Quit posting these disturbing "questions" supposedly involving your pets.
