I really love Mr Stick's answer. "Go look it up yourself, I don't have the time". Yet he takes the time to answer with an enourmous paste from some website.

a non-believer is someone who does not believe Islam and infidel is someone like a traitor or someone who commits treason or crimes against the community. non-believers are not all considered infidels.

2:62

Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

peace and blessings to all,

In Arabic the word Kaafir (root word for cover in English), this is the used for a non-believer. The word infidel came from the west, and is mistranslated.

I'm not a Muslim but my understanding is that there is none. Those who refuse to accept the teachings of the prophet Mohammed (Blessed be his name) are not worthy of the kingdom.

When the Prophet was alive, he was most accepting of other religions, held Jesus and Mary in high esteem and stopped his followers from destroying Christian churches and paintings. Many leaders of Islam today are less tolerant.
