As a general rule of thumb, the maximum you would need is 6 months, but it could be less depending on your nationality and country of passport issue

It is usually 6 months (but from date you return) but if you only have 1 or 2 months (from date you return) before it expires it will be ok, for Gran Canaria. This is as long as you buy a return ticket!!!
I used to live in Lanzarote and asked this same question recently for my niece.

6 months you will need for gran canaria, I think in eu maybe you can use up till last day.
Good I dea to allways check the embassy, pretty much everything is in there.

One other thing, when walking along the strip, try not to get stopped by anyone 'selling bracelets' nobody ever gives change, and can spoil a day. lol atleast for my mate anyway. enjoy but be a little aware.

Generally depends on the country but rule of thumb is to have a minimum of 6 months left before you enter the country

Usually 6 months for quite a lot of countries outside of the EU (if you're European).

Check with individual embassies.

Inside the EU your European passport/ID card is valid for travel up until its last day.

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE 3 OR 4 MONTHS LEFT. THEY USUALLY TELL YOU WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY. BEST TO CHECK WITH THE TRAVEL AGENTS.
