When building up muscles in your legs,I reliaze your calf muscles get bigger,but what about...Your gluteus maximus muscles,do they grow larger also,as well as thigh muscles?

no - your but becomes more toned so it looks smaller and tighter. the muscles might become bigger than they were in the butt and thighs, but your butt and thighs will actually get smaller because of the toning and slimming that jogging causes.

I wish my calves would get bigger - I've been jogging 4km's 4 or 5 times a week for 2 1/2 months now - and my calves are still skinny! weird hey

The muslces become more toned however you can add muscle by running up hill or simulating up hill running. If you plan to add this type of cardio into a workout routine for the benefits of cardio plus muscle development add interval training on a treadmill, uphill running on a treadmill, high intensity elliptical, or even resistance cycling. Those things combined with a good balance of strength training will build the muscle groups you mention. Have fun.

While running jogging you are doing the range of motion for the muscles you named but you are doing cardio/aerobic work not weight/resistance contractions to make them larger.

No. They become more toned. To increase the size of those muscles, they require heavy exertion.

If you look at Olympic runners..the answer is all of the above.
