Depending on what type of pain and from which side of your chest? Again, is this the first time or it happened before. If it comes from the left side of your chest, then it could be associated with heart. I will seriously adivise you to see your doctor, and get a real professional advice.

You're dealing with an important area of the body with a lot of discreet structures. This forum is inappropriate for making a determination as to what the problem is.

Pains within the chest are a serious matter. You should go to the clinic of your choice or visit your physician immediately. There are diagnostic considerations that a person cannot discern via the written word.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a serious problem.

It just needs some serious attention by a competent professional to be sure.

If you have chest pains when you breathe, this is likely a problem with ribs and the muscles around the chest. If the pain remains when you don't breathe, this is something that needs to be looked at for heart trouble - especially if you have any of the other symptoms - nausea, heartburn, pallor etc.

I sometimes get this too, under my left breast/ribs. hurts for a bit, cant get breath properly, then it 'pops' and feels better.
is thiswhat you get?
The main thing to check is, DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PAIN?? For example, pain in your left (sometimes right) arm, or shoulder? Sharp pain on breathing?
If you are at all in doubt, see your doctor!! It is probably just a 'caught' muscle, or nerve pinching, but if you are concerned enough to post question here, perhaps it amy be an idea to check it out anyway? Better to be safe than sorry, and if it is just muscular/skeletal, your doctor can still help you.
Good Luck.

It could be one of two things. You could have heart burn (acid reflux) or you are having heart problems. Go see a doctor soon.
