They're fun for the cat. They move quick and are bit of a challenge. All cats have an urge to eat live food, and even if not hungry some cats will still hunt.

The only thing you should worry about is whether you have poisoned the cockroaches. The poison would hurt the cat.

it truly is common - after all it truly is a cat we are talking about. yet, make confident you have not dealt with your abode with insecticide which could were ingested by the cockroach. in the different case, your cat may have only eaten a poison computer virus. And yeah, are there quite some cockroaches on your room? i wish you aren't from now on letting your cat preserve the infestation complications in the journey that they are. :)

I previously answered this one, but I want to rephrase, my last answer did sound rude...
Cats eat bugs after they are done playing with them! I had a cat who ate spiders.(the Fraser Valley where I live, has tonnes of spiders ) She'd eat moths, leatherjackets, flys and bugs Ive never seen before!!!
*Homeless cats survive on what food they can find, but also bugs are a major source of food for them, according to my local SPCA.

They do actually taste quite good! Sort of "nutty". And sincce cats naturally like to chase & play with things, what could be better than a lively toy that is delicious when you finally catch it?!

Hate to say it, but yeah...cats kinda consider roaches to be God's
gift to them... you can play with them, and then EAT them!

If you're not putting down roach bait, I wouldn't worry about it
too much - they'll usually throw it up later if it disagrees with
them.

Also, they might not actually be eating them... mine play with
roaches when they find them, but very rarely eat them. They
just pull them apart (ew!)

Same reason why my cats eat spiders, beetles, cacti, and things that fall on the floor, because theyre curious and seem to think that the appropriate response to curiosity is eating it. ;)

Cats will eat insects because its in their nature. They need to hunt them, chase them, kill them, and then munch on them.

But yea, that's gross. You should probably see about getting those out of your house....
