to help the enviorment , shouldnt we ,save the trees that cut polution all year long,[that represent eternal life], and stop killing them as a rememberance of a man that died 2000 years ago? if jesus is dead, why do we need to kill a tree to celibrate his former birth .?

I am in complete agreement with you. As a Wiccan we have a Yule tree in our house (artificial one) that we decorate. I don't see a need to harm Nature for a yearly festival. We have had the same one for 9 years now so it has also saved us money over having a real tree for each of those years. If anyone worries about it not smelling like a real pine tree then I would suggest getting some essential oil or even just one of those pine scented car fresheners and hang it like an ornament in the back.

Bright Blessings for all during this holiday season )O(

Well Jesus is not dead, if you are a christian, but anyway, despite all the prophecies that have come true that show he is alive,

Christmas is a pagan, and Babylonian tradition and part of false religion. Actually the celebration even goes back before the Germans decorating a tree, it goes to Nimrod king of Babylon.

Yes research is a good thing.

We don't have to cut down trees to do that. Personally, we have an artificial tree that we put up. Jesus is not dead.

trees are a renewable resource, get over it.

most trees today are fake anyway because pine needles are a terrible fire hazard, real trees suck to clean up after, and fake trees are so much cheaper.

but the hippies can't win can they. we can't buy real trees because we have to save the environment, and we can't buy fake trees otherwise we are supporting the evil greedy corporations.

The Xmas tree is actually an old pagan Teutonic custom. Nothing really to do with Christ.

Real trees are messier than synthetic ones anyway.
