Are you sure that is what you want? You say you will destroy her life? Will you? How? You sound as if you doubt what you feel. Yes. Don't be her friend. Don't talk with her and she will not be in love. I think you might find you do love her. Let her stay where she is. You know her circumstances. Love her from a distance. Stand by. Or walk. What you know to be best for you. And her!

:) If she said she can't hepl it, may be she really loves you.
well if you too hve the same feeling (No matter you have realized yet or not) then you two ppl can have a love relationship there is nothing wrong with that. But if you really don't feel like that then tell her what exactly you feel about her. She will understand. Tell her you will be her friend forever to give her support but you don't love her :) You need to be clear to her.
Good Luck !!!

the best piece of advice about women/girls is give them space and this is comin from a girl who has been in your place and her's.
anyways wat i think could work bec. it has and is workin for me...
whether ur friends with the guy in her life doesnt really matter,
really try not to spend too much time together even more so try to never spend time alone. try not to talk bout the feelings bec. if there is a chance for u 2 fact is it cant b now, oh and u know all those lines that ppl say like "he's leaving his wife for me" or "but i like u better" whatever it is and no offense to ur friend but even if u 2 get together u have to remeber that it started while she was in a rletionship and u dont know if she does this every few months and it sounds like u guyz would rush into it. now im not exactly saying she's gonna cheat on u but keep in mind that we women take longer to get over things and there is no type of girl that gets over things as fast as most guyz do, and this is comin from the most not girliness person me and my friends know of and i've had ppl think i have feelings like a dude but i dont and no girl does and i covered it up so if u think u know one i swear to u she's covering it up. back to ur question, SPACE, give her space #2 TIME, give it space and time and hopefully she'll get over it and maybe later on in life (after she takes time to get over any past relationship) u 2 could get together but keep in mind ur sacrificing a friendship.
dont mind my spelling i used to b awsome but im half asleep (that might b part of it!! )

Nope - you can't, but what you can do is. Stay away from her or tell her upfront. Unless of course you dont want to tell her cos she might move away and that might hurt you. She was fair and told you how she felt, how about you doing the same thing.... be true and face life head-on. You live only once !

Um, just because she is with someone, doesn't mean that she wants to spend forever with that person. You should talk to her and find out how she REALLY feels. If she doesn't want to be with the other guy anymore, then why shouldn't you be with her if you want.

Now if you don't want to be with her, I would recommend being a complete and total idiot. Stop being friends with this girl, and treat her like crap. That would stop me!!

Try not to make a big deal of it, if she tries to make a move, tell her that you're flattered but you're not interested and leave it at that. She may be disappointed, but that's life. She'll get over it.

Telling her you're gay won't solve anything at best, and turn her into a fag hag (a straight women who chases after gay men) at worst.

Well she is right, you can't help who you fall for. There is no way stop it or change that once it has begun. You will just have to make the best things happen for you guys.

sure, just be honest and tell her that you don't want love from her. I would rather someone hurt my feelings telling the truth than lying to me

Nope, if she falls for you -- she just does. Up to her to control her feelings and you not to accept the advances if not interested in that way.

Start passing gas in front of her often. That is a definite turn off.
