Hello!! :o) One could clone as many Jesus LOOKING individuals as one would like - but none of them would actually BE Jesus. Man may - one day - be able to clone a BODY. But man will NEVER be able to clone a SOUL. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

I was not aware of this project. It is bound to fail though since the so calles holly shroud was made during the fourtenth century. This makes it most unlikely that any DNA from the first century could be found and used for this interesting cloning idea.

Those of us who took high school biology know that a person has 46 chromosomes, and only 23 could have come from Jesus' mother Mary. So if Jesus had 46 chromosomes, then the other 23 must have come from either Joseph or God. If they came from Joseph then the idea of Jesus being the literal Son of God is shot to hell, as is the idea of the 'virgin birth'. If they came from God, then we'll find out what God's DNA consists of, won't we?

The shroud of Turin, if that is to what you refer, is not old enough. You'd have the second coming of Joe the beggar from the 14th century.
But there's another shroud. Its kept secret in the vatican. And they've already done it. Many times. Ever seen "The Boys from Brazil?" Same concept. One of them lives next door to me. He's a ditch digger and swears like a sailor. His mom claims she never had sex either but shes drunk most of the time so who knows? He says he sees visions all the time too and talks to god out loud but people just stay clear of him.

sounds ignorant. its not even for sure if the shroud of turin was the shroud jesus was buried in. somehow i don't think man can ethically clone someone who is meant to be god.

The shroud of Turin has been proven to be fake, so it will amount to a false Jesus Christ, i.e. the Antichrist, being created

just look at how the church reacted to a stupid movie like the DA vinchi code now re read your question and tell me what you think is wrong with it. the church would never go for it but if it happened i think hell yeah why not then we can finally get allot of answers. but its probably impractical who knows if that old piece of cloth is what every one says it is. it would be funny if i chick came up instead of a man though that would put an end to all the bragging about some old cloth lol

I say do all the tests you can to DISPROVE the existence of the so called son of god. What a crock of sh1t. Science has the answers not some weirdo deviant priest. Religon was invented to control the masses. I find people who believe in god tend to be weak minded people who need something to believe in.
