She's been a good friend ever since we split up, and I always spoiled her at Xmas, but she's got a new fella now and they've not been together long, so what, if anything, would be appropriate ?

something for both of them - and very impersonal so it cant be misconstrued.
how about a bottle of wine - and dont stick around to help them drink it. or something simple for around the house.

Buy her something that will really show her she still means something to you. Maybe a nice ring or necklace or even a dress. I'm guessen you want her back right? Well if or if not it will still be appropriate for x-mas. Either way she will still love the consideration of the fact that u went out and took ya time to buy her something. Thats whats its all about. Caring. Make sure you give her a nice sweet lil christmas card too with it. Hmmmm....maybe roses. Not sure on that one though. lol. But yeah man, anything is nice. Show her she still is a friend more or less.

Well whatever you want to get her..Just because she has a man in her life again doesn't mean that you guys can't keep things the same in your friendship. I am very close friends with a couple of my ex's & I am in a serious relationship & I still get them something for christmas & they get me something. So I guess it boils down to how secure the new guy is in their relationship...Take care

You can never go wrong with one of those perfume sets with the small body lotion and shower gel! You must know her favourite perfume! They are about £30-£40 so expensive for just a friend, but thoughtful. Good Luck!

I realistically don't think something would be deemed inappropriate except for lingerie (obviously). You should be able to get her whatever you want but don't set yourself up for failure by going over the top. Ummmmm a giftcard to her fav store or her fav movie something like that would suffice.

Buy nothing personal so that she wouldn't misread your intention besides, you don't want her current boyfriend to misunderstand you too! A box of chocolate may be appropriate.

Earplugs for the new BF and a funny Christmas card with a $20 bill for her...sign it: "Dinner's on me!"

wow, i am basically in this situation, only slight different,
i'd say do you still care? if so screw the other guy over and get her something you know she would like, if she is important to you still, then some random guy won't stand in your way
