at this age, if a guy waits some time (like 6 months long) trying hard to get you, at the moment, how long does he intend to keep you if he gets you? for life? or just for a short period of time before he looks for new hotties?

Depends on the guy. Depends on the hottie.
I have two words for anyone who thinks that one can guarantee relationships for life.
Divorce court.
Any other answer you get here is nothing but a guess. There are no guarantees of the shelf life of a relationship. None, nada, zilch, zero, zippy.
Take your relationships slowly and let things develop. Also, you seem to have doubts about this one going in. Listen to your instincts.

I would agree that he likes you a little more than a one night stand. 6 months is a lot of work to put in just to mess things up. But then again just because he put in that time doesn't really mean anything. You guys could get into a relationship and just not work out. That's the risk you run whenyou do things like that.
I am currently going after someone I like and it's been a while. Like 3 weeks. I am putting in truthful work because I think some good can come out of it. Or it might even tank, I don't know but that's the risk I am willing to run.

No, he'll love you forever. TRUST ME! It's more than just sex. He's had a lot of time and has made a REAL assessment of you. From his standpoint, aside from being against all odds, you have proved yourself the total package, be-all-end-all girl.
He wants you to marry him and be the mother of his children. He's NOT going to "rock and sock" you, believe me.
While there may be more "thrill in the chase," it's not true when it turns into a six month expedition. He knows you. And he won't give up, unless you lose your temper. I think you love him, and I know you won't get hurt. You hold the cards.

WOW!!! that is quite the question....if the man is close to your age DO NOT TRUST HIM.....most guys that age are only testing the water......of course he could be the exception to the rule, BUT most likely he'll use you and move on. maybe this is not the answer you were looking for but I feel this is an Honest answer....good luck

honestly it depends, if you are hot he prolly just wants you for a short period of time because of a bet or just wants sex
if he's a guy that has a lot in common with you, he is intelligent, and doesn't look like a jerk then you guys will last
