Depends how regular you normally are, and how long your cycle normally is. Not every gets their period every 28/29 days... that's just the average. And some people don't have a regular settled cycle at all. And things like illness or stress could throw your cycle off.
If it's late *for you* and you know there's a chance you could be pregnant, then take a test. If it's negative, wait a few days and if your period hasn't come, test again. You're just going to worry otherwise.

Take a pregnancy test. It's normal to start cramping around the time that you would normally come on your period but that's because the fetus is embedding its self. You don't have to wait seven days there are pregnancy test out there like FIRST RESPONSE that can detect the pregnancy hormone up to five days BEFORE your missed period so give it a try. No matter what you find don't worry becoming stressed is no good for you or your cycle or fetus if you are pregnant.

It depends on a lot of things! Is you period usually regular? Have you been trying to conceive or been having inercourse either just before or aroud the middle of your cycle? You can take an accurate pregnancy test from the day your period was due. It is better to take the test in the morning and don't drink any extra to make yourelf pee!

It could just be stress, or you could have been more active this month, or you could have been around a lot of new females this month. There are so many things it could be. A good rule of thumb, my OBGYN told me to wait til it was a week late before I took a test this way no one is wasting time and money. Good luck hun!!

it could be anything thats making you late hun. stress for one, and the more you worry about being late, the longer it will take to come on your period. Its not too early to take a pregnancy test, so i think that would be a good idea hunni. Good luck in whatever outcome you want. xxx

I say wait another 1-1 1/2 weeks if you dont get it by then take the test. You know, you could just be under a lot of stress, relax, take a vacation and everything will be ok, just breathe

the only way to know is to take a home pregnancy test. You can take one if you're only one day late. If it comes back negative and your period doesn't start, wait a few more days and take another. Good luck.

i think the best thing for you if you think you could be pregnant is to do a test because if your not pregnant worry about it might be stopping you from getting your period so do a test then you will know for sure. good luck.
