This is hard to say, I would like
to agree with unity with Diversity and understanding,
but I can't really say that anymore, nither can I say tolerance.
I've seen enough things, and still do that makes me turn away from those answer. I use to remember that India stood for peace but now, it is within the counrty who are messing up the palce and they way how they use to live. Tell me why are many converting and those who are converting are being also harrassed because of there soo called Caste system they put into effect. This is one thing I don't like about India and my number #2 reason, Bollywood is turning into Hollywood, with nudity and what nots... just sick. What happened to old India!!
The one were I used to be proud of and the same ones where my friends are from, you ask they they agree they don't like there system, they want a change!!

On the basis of the majority I would say it is 'Indifference' and 'lack of smiles' ....
a common Indian man doesn't care about whats going on around him unless he too is involved in it. We would not mind others littering the streets but if someone litters our courtyard we could even kill in rage. Most Indians will prefer to be silent spectators rather than to step in and solve the problem. Also no one here smiles. you look at people and they'll all be frowning unless they know you very well and if you smile at them, they either doubt your intentions or say u've gone mad.
We are not bad at heart but we need to be happy and helping.

unity in diversity..... though you can point to many negative sides of my country, you cannot deny the fact that in spite of all these differences we are still having the feeling of oneness.....
