One of my cats has claimed the dining table for his "spot". I think he likes being up high where he can see everything and the wood may be cooler for him to lie on than the sofa. Plus it's big enough for him to stretch out on. He's a big cat.

Well there could be a thousand reasons....

It might get a lot of sunlight.

Or you might give the cat more attention when it's there.

It may like being elevated since it can see whats going on around it.

It might like the feel of the tablecloth.

It's hard to say without knowing more about the cat.

is it near a window with the sun shining on the table she prob just sun bathing cats like to be somewhere high up too!

cats do not like being on a floor level so they will sleep anywhere high up,my mums one sleeps on top of the TV

my cat thinks its cool to do stuff like that all the time. i tell him to please quit because its unsanitary and I'm not sure were those dirty Lil' paws have been all day. he just told me i was crecy (he has this weird Spanish/Mexican accent). das loco me gatieto
