I have made all sorts of different cakes but my all time favourite is my homemade rich chocolate mud cake. I put real eating dark chocolate and other ingrediets in it. It is so delicious. I also make a really moist carrot cake which I love with the delicious philadelphia cream cheese icing with icing sugar mixed with it and lemon juice. It is really delicious. I also love my Mums pavlovas. They are perfect every time (although if the day is moist avoid making a pavlova, it will probably sink once it is cooked) (cave in).

I love M&S Chocolate Fudge Cake (chiller section).
Also I love carrot cake.
But the best ones I've had are ones I get from Persian pastry shops, with cream filling, kinda like profiteroles but without the chocolate.

Tres Leches cake. It is a Mexican cake made with 3 different types of milk and fruit on top. It is moist without being soggy and very good.

It's definitely a draw between a nice German chocolate cake and a white butter-cream cake. Those two are non-existent in France, and so I spend my time daydreaming and salivating about them. Or, I cheer myself up by eating a french "Fraisier". Layer of vanilla sponge, topped with a cream and strawberries, layer of sponge, cream and strawberries.
