Its nothing you have done.
As we get older, your teeth will darken with age. This is a natural progression.

Bleaching your teeth is a simple and safe procedure.

Remember, if you decide to "whiten" your teeth, that any existing fillings or crowns will not change colour due to the material they are made of.
Also, your teeth will only "whiten" to their inherit colour.

Have a talk with your dentist and see what he/she recommends.

There are a few alternatives.

* Laser or "Zoom" bleaching is one.
This is done in office with your dentist.
A high concentrate of peroxide is painted onto your teeth and a laser or blue light is used to accelerate the bleaching process. This takes about an hour. It can be quite expensive too. Approximately about $1200+ depending on where you live. Higher of course in capital cities.
There are side effects to "zoom" bleaching is teeth become extremely sensitive and can take more than a few days to settle down.

* Another alternative, is a home bleaching kit.
This is a less expensive way of "whitening" your smile.
It was done in the privacy of your home and takes about 7 to 10 days to reach the desired shade.
It costs approximately $250 + and once again, it depends on where you live.
Moulds or impressions are taken of your teeth and a thin plastic tray is made.
Dops of bleach are placed into the tray and inserted over your teeth. These trays are worn for about an hour or so.
You can expect some sensitivity with using the kit - BUT this is NO way as painful.
Also, if you notice that your teeth have started to go darker again, you can "top - up" by purchasing some more bleaching syringes. This means that you don't have to purchase the whole kit again.

* You can purchase "whitening" toothpaste or paint on solution but this doesn't work as well as the product is not held against your teeth.

It is important to remember not to eat, drink or smoke for a few hours after bleaching, as you are only going around in circles.

Remember to brush and floss your teeth after each meal to maintain a health, beautiful smile.

Best of Luck!!!

You mean beautiful teeth, right? Or do you really have just one tooth?! lol I'm kidding. Anyway, seriously, if you brush your teeth twice a day at least, when you wake up and before you go to bed, I don't think coffee can ever stain your teeth. Check what other habits you have (such as tobacco chewing, smoking of any kind, chewing raw herbal mouth fresheners?). Choose a toothpaste that has baking soda in it (I think the brand 'Crest' has it). You can also look in the store where you buy your stuff. They will have toothpastes that are meant for whitening teeth (Colgate - Advanced Whitening is one I've spotted around). Brush twice a day and if possible after every meal would do you good.

First make sure that you do not have something underlying causing the bad breath like an infection under your gums. Try Toms of Maine products for fresh breath. They make mouthwashes and toothpastes with herbs and they taste and smell nice.

baking soda will clean your teeth, but since you drink coffee you need to brush more often
