its easy to add locations as favorites, but now i am stuck with some useless favorites, but cant seem to find out how to delete them, any info will be much appreciated.

DONT confuse!! "favourites" that you have bookmarked & saved in your tom tom with "recent destinations". I know I had this confusing problem myself and contacted tom tom, they said the TT1 keeps a long list of your most recent destinations but you cannot delete or remove them as such.
**For anything you have actually bookmarked & saved as a favourite you should be able to delete, goto the main menu, see the manage favourites option, selecting allows you to delete any favourites you dont want to keep anymore.

Click on 'Favourites' then go to 'Organise Favourites' then you can highlight the one you want and select 'delete' in the box that usually appears at the bottom of the screen just above 'Close'

Go to your Bookmarks menu, choose the favourite you wish do delete, right-click and choose the "delete" option
