Both have their disadvantages. Marines are much more difficult and often mean you're going to war and take a real risk of death. Marines are hard core and deadly. If I was ever stuck somewhere, I would want the US Marines coming to get me. Being in theNavy means you're stuck on a ship and out to sea forever.
How about Air Force? That is the easiest of the branches of the military, there are cute girls if you are a guy, and less risk of death. Also, the Air Force is cool!
The Army is great too, but again, more in the thick of the battle on the ground than the Air Force. The military today is a serious job and not for idioits who just want a paycheck. Our troops are defending our country and risking their lives every day.
By the way, God bless all of our troops and the troops of our allies all over the world. I hope the world becomes a more peaceful place and you come home soon to the heroes welcome that you all deserve.

Worse than what?
Both are honorable
Imagine 911 happening daily.....thats where we would be without Navy, Marines or other services
As Americans we are very arrogent and spoiled by our freedom.
I am NOT pro war. I am just in to reality. The world is a crazy place

Worse for what? If you don't want to get shot at than the navy is better, however I knew a guy who was stuck on the bottom deck of a carrier for 6 months, not ever seeing the sun. it's a pick your poison thing.
