here's the deal: i know not all women have right clitoral anatomy for an actual clitoris piercing so instead i'm considering the more popular vertical hood piercing...i would like some advice from other women that have had any experience with this kind of piercing. keep in mind i have a belly ring, and a tongue ring---i don't need info on basic piercing care, and i already have an experienced and reputable piercer so there's no need to mention that...i just want specific info on the pros and cons for this particular piercing...thanks!

I have a VCH (well, it's out at the moment because I've been riding my bike), and I love it. Of all my piercings, it was by far the least painful. Both the actual piercing and the healing process were really easy. It was completely healed in under 2 weeks, and wasn't ever sore or anything.

It is also awesome for the sex. With a battery-operated assistant, the whole thing gets rumbly, which is awesome.

I had my piercer pick out the jewelery and ended up with a 12ga curved barbell, which I think is perfect.

The only problem I've had with it is with riding a bike. If I leave the jewelery in, it gets kind of caught on the seat and pulls in a really uncomfortable way.

From all the accounts I've heard, I would suggest this above a horizontal hood piercing or a clitoral piercing. It works with most women's anatomy, and there's a much smaller chance of anything going wrong.

Good luck and have fun! ;-)

Often piercing the actual clitoris itself causes pain, loss of feeling and high risk for infection. It is most commonly that the hood it pierced but the misconception comes from many just calling it a clitoral piercing.

Anyway, I had a vertical hood piercing a while ago. I kept it for a while, but after it healed instead of having an increase in feeling I noticed that the constant rubbing of jewelry caused an overall numbing feeling. It was more annoying than anything else so I took it out, once it was taken out things went right back to how they used to be (I was very happy to get my 'O' back...trust me). I have heard of other cases and situations like mine, though just as many people have no problems with it whatsoever. I later got my labia pierced and though they don't do as much feeling wise, they are a lot more practical for me and I love them a lot.

So the pros are a potential for more feeling and sensations, and it looks very attractive in my opinion. The cons are overtime loss of feeling and potential for infection and ripping is also present (but not likely to happen when you take care of your piercing). Its also a con that you cannot play with the piercing right away, so take that into consideration. I wish you luck and hope all goes well if you get the piercing.

Well, I'm going to say that it affects the nerves and causes loss of stimulation too. It just can't work, it's like "science" tells us it would be no fun at all, and decreases sensitivity and pleasure. A good man should be able to trip the switch and focus on the G-spot as well.

i have had a total of 11 piercings. the clit hood was by far the least painful of all of them surprisingly. and it healed super quick. in fact, it was never really infected or sore to begin with. it was such an easy piercing. i was so nervous before he stuck the needle in, but i literally didnt feel him do it. i felt the clamps when he had them on there, and it was a bit uncomfortable, but definitely not unbearable. oh yeah, ive had it for 3 yrs now and love it. try taking the stairs instead of the elevator the first couple months ;) enjoy!

you can't actually pierce your clit. it is your hood that gets pierced. everyone that i know that has it...says that is doesn't hurt at all. they are piercing a piece of skin that isn't even a 1/4 of an inch. have fun!
