ok i live in australia and i have neva ever seen anyone in a back brace ( i think they used to b pretty common in america in 60's or 70's or something) but today i saw a guy in a milawakee brace! i didnt even kno they put people in these anymore not even in america

I had major back surgery and wore a back brace for almost 3 months afterwords. I am sure that I would not have recovered as well as I did without the brace. It also keeps you from doing things you aren't supposed to do after surgery. Back braces are not old-fashioned. For as long as I have been around (49 years) I have seen many people wear back braces for many reasons.

doctors now can fix most of the back problems. we have come along way in medicine with the advances in technology

i wore one for 8 years.

still have scoliosis, moderately.

it's no fun.
