You can try www.sparkpeople.com
They have a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose and by what dates etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. The exercises can be done at home like dumbells, resistance bands & ball. They also have demos for strength exercises. You will like it. You can also choose from walking, jogging,or a home video. There's many different options. It's like having a nutritionist and it is free. You also have support from the members. A real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!
God Bless!

Well it all depends on what else you do. If you are eating a lot of junk food then, no, walking four mile a day isn't going to help. Also you have to increase little by little what you do, because pretty soon your body will get use to walking four miles a day and it won't be a work out anymore. Try walking four miles one day, jogging four miles the next, and running two miles the day after that. Switch it up so your body isn't in a routine and it gets a work out.

It would help you to lose weight if you are eating healthily at the same time. If you're walking 4 miles every day but eating chips, cakes and crisps all day then it's non-beneficial. It will help you to tone your bottom and thighs, though, and should slim those areas down if you eat right. You should aim to lose between 1-2 lbs per week.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Not unless you combine that with a low calorie diet. Walking 4 miles would burn about 200 calories (for a 150 lb woman) So if you didn't combine that excersize with a diet, it would take 2 1/2 weeks to lose 1 pound. (3500 calories= 1 pound of body fat) If you cut 500 calories/day and combined that excersize you would lose more than 1.5 pounds a week.

it's much more likely to cut calories and speed up your metabolism than to lose weight through exercise .the exercise is primarily for good health . My dr. says walk for exerice but don't count on losing weight by it. I don't have charts with me but i've seen them and you would be surprised how little you lose in comparison to how many calories you can quickly gain eating.
try high fiber low fat vegetarian diet with whole grains a gal.H2O.
