I'm a single mum. My doctor has told me that I will have to have my womb removed due to fibroids. I was thinking of getting one of my work colleagues drunk at the xmas party and trying to impregnate myself. The response I have got back has been that I'm some kind of monster - I am not. I have a disabled son and I would like him to have a sibling.

So perhaps if I simply ask my colleague - do you think he'll say yes? It occured to me that I should try and have 2 more children as some responses have suggested that 1 child may feel burdened by having a disabled brother - this did not occur to me. I can see why it's good to air problems.

My only problem is that if he says no, well then I'm fcuked because he's kind of my only option - although i will be trying sperm clinics etc.
I am just wondering how I can brooch the subject? What on earth do you say?

As long as there was no future obligation for support then I think a lot of men might be willing to help. The joy that my child has brought me can not be underestimated and I would love to help somebody achieve the dream of a child.

First before anyone else responds. you are NOT a monster or nutter! You are simply a human being with an intense desire and are not sure how to fill it.
First, to trick someone would be bad. But if you can ask round or just approach the lucky guy and tell him what you are interested in, that would probably be the best way.
Secondly, a word of warning: A lot of males, more than some might think, want to be dads. The man may want visitation rights and so on.
honestly a sperm place would probably be the best all-round solution.
My last concern is the fibroids themselves. Have you spoken with your physician about the safety of pregnancy, and if you could carry to term. If you lost the baby because you couldn't carry to full term, then you would be heartbroken and your poor son would probably also feel the loss very deeply.
I hope this helps.....my mind and heart go out to you. I think you have an honest, and yes, decent desire.

By all means ask if you're that desperate, he can only say no.

But really, especially if your womb is in a bad shape, it's far from impossible for you to have another disabled child. Are you prepared for that? Would the potential father be ready for that? And I mean, how would you explain to the rest of your work colleagues that you two were randomly having a baby together? I think a sperm donor would be a better option.

Or, I know this is an obvious answer, but have you thought about just removing the womb now and adopting? There are thousands of disabled little boys just like your own who get given up by their mummies, and I'm sure they'd make wonderful little playmates for your son. Or of course you can adopt an able-bodied child.

Just don't rush into anything, think it through, please.

Honey I really feel for you ...... But it is survival of the fittest you were obviously not meant to have kids in the first place......
You are a broken mould trying to produce a perfect item.... It just wont work...... And the Idea of raping a work colleague is horrid.....

Predatory females......

We are discussing the ethics of raping someone....... How can any of us condone such an action or even the thought of it......

What if this was a man saying that he was going to get a woman drunk and then have sex with her.......

Wrong wrong wrong......

Ask him...you never know...he may be up for it!!

If not, you always have the sperm clinics.

Is it safe to have a baby or two if you need your womb removed?

An odd one. However, maybe you should look at certain attributes you want from a genetic father. Maybe see your doctor about a sperm Bank then you don't upset anyone.

i believe it absolutely relies upon on how in my opinion close the both one in all you're. If there's an exquisite good healthful degree of believe between you and your male colleague, the position the both one in all you should reveal to one yet another (in very almost something), it ought to likely no longer be rude or intrusive. in the different case, in case you ask him about that, it ought to advise to him, that you attempt to look at into his inner most life and he ought to no longer like it.
