Meet him in a public place, do not let him pick you up. Make sure you tell a friend or a relative of where you will be and when you expect to be home. Agree with your friend, or family member to call when you return home. You should practice this routine for several "dates" until you know him better and trust that all is well before giving your address and allowing him to come to your home.

Where ever you met, you need to be very careful. He may be the wonderful person that you think he is or he could be a wonderful on-line personality and a real creep in person. There are people that spend their days trying to manipulate young women and men into meeting them....they are very skilled at being "kind men" that you can "chat warmly" with.....If you do go to meet him, meet him in a restaurant in a busy location during the daylight hours.....make sure someone has his information even though it could all be made up. Also make sure someone knows what time you will meet him and where. Do not get into a car or go anywhere else with this man. Make the first meeting brief, an hour or two, and go home....be careful and stay safe.

First of all how old are you? There are men online who target teens and vulnerable people. You cannot trust someone online. They can pretend to be anyone.
Now let's assume that you are an adult woman who has been talking to this person for a long time and want to meet him. First only do so in a PUBLIC PLACE where there are a lot of people around and even better bring along a family member or friend. Do not have him pick you up at your house or give him your address. Be very very careful!!! Your safety should be your first concern!!

First you meet him for coffee in a very public place. Make sure there are plenty of people around. Then gradually get to know each other.
Most guys are totally different in person than online or on the phone.
Be sure you trust him before you go to his place or invite him to yours.
Please be very cautious.
There are some wonderful guys out there. Lets hope he is one of them.

I have done it before. I had some friends that went and watched for about 30 minutes from a distance to make sure everything went cool. He never found out, and I felt safer. Just don't act nervous, because then he will and it will make everything more akward.

Yes you have to meet. But, if you have never met him earlier, better not to meet. It is not a wise action, as 'the water is dense and it flows downwards only, never up'. In the event you want to flow upwards, chat continuously and never meet or wish to meet.

meet somewhere neutral and very public. bring friends. tell people where u'll be. don't get into his car or go anywhere secluded with him until you've met him a few times. be careful.

Sense you don't know him very well,be careful.It's very dangerous to date someone from meeting on line.They can Sweet talk you on line and kill you outside.Stay in public,crowded place.Don't let him pick you up from your house.Keep it short,don't drink.

you yourself probably know this person, so if you feel right about this then don't let anyone stop you from seeing him. But you better make sure that you won't be victimize by sexual predators.
