oh, well... where to start. She told me recently that she wanted us to come and visit. My husband, 2 kids and I. So we piled into the car and went over. She kept going on and on about how she wanted to visit me, but once my husband and father in law left for an errand, she invited a church biddy over to chat with the entire 3 hours I was there.
Or last friday when she came to watch the kids so I could go to a job interview she grabbed both my hands and asked me why I was going to interview "because lets be honest, you don't have the best job history?" then she said my husband, her son, was a failure to her and my father in law.
Or when she got mad at me for calling to ask for a favor. She was mad that my husband didn't call her instead of me.
Or when she decided to tell the entire family exactly how much each of us made at our current jobs.
Or when she told everyone in our family all about my embarrassing illness while pregnant.
Or when she told my mother that I was godless because I'm not a christian like her son. (I'm a different branch of christian, but that's not good enough)
OR when she tells her other son who still lives at home that my husband isn't stepping up to take care of his family.
OR when she brings over state welfare forms to apply for state aid. (We have never applied for anything, which costs us more catty remarks the next time we see her.)
Or for our little 3 month daughter, we asked for size appropriate sleepers because we had none, and she went out and bought 6-9 month stuff, so she could "grow into them". (She's a premie.)
OR she decided to cut my sons hair while I was in the hospital with my daughter because it looked like girls hair. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I HAD SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER NOT TO CUT IT.
She is the SOS. Spawn of Satan.
And by the way, my husband hates her almost as much as I do, but when he's talked to her about her behavior she shapes up for about a month, then gets mean again.

When I was with my soon to be ex-husband, my mother in law hated me, she kept screaming at me that I wasn't feeding her son properly and that I didnt look after the house properly, that my ironing wasnt good enough, that I was overweight (at the time). Basically if she found something she would moan about it. It even got to the stage where he had to tell her to stop it, but she carried on. I never once got an apology or anything! She started whispering tales about me to my father in law, which in turn got to him. It was a real nightmare! Mothers-in-laws, who'd have them?! Well some of them anyway, lol. Ahh well I guess i was never gonna be good enough for her, so stuff the lot of 'em! lol.

My mother-in law had a reputation in the last town she lived in as being the "town whore" Men were constantly being accuse of sleeping with her by their wives.
She hasn't seen her grandson in over a year and a half. The last time and every time she saw him before was because we drove out to see her.
When she got remarried she counted out all the money that people gave her and bragged about it in front of me. Yet when I married her son we didn't even get a damn card from her.
She kept making a big deal about how she was going to throw me a baby shower while I was pregnant with my first. Never got around to it apparently. Then when my son was born she didn't even send a card or a gift or anything.
She tried to ruin my wedding by trying to have me uninvite my soon to be father in law that she was still " happily" married to at the time, so she could have her lover come instead.
She only calls my hubby even to find out about how our son is and supposedly how my pregnancy is going, she refuses to call me. Even though my hubby is stationed far away from my son and I. And he specifically asked her to call me to check up on me since I have had a extremely rough first half of the pregnancy and was almost hospitalized.
And thats just the tip of the iceberg.

Well my wedding is coming up and she is trying to have it the way she wants it. She is trying to take everything over. She also never says anything to her son about it, except that it is our(mine and his) day and however we want it is fine with her as long as she is there. Then when it is just me, she has fits over everything. She also has decided that my kids are going to be little hellions just like her 2 grandboys now. But I plan on raising mine right and not the way they are raising theirs. They are not the best parents. We are also fixing to buy a house and she is treating both of us like we are 5(we are 30), like we have no clue what a bill is and stuff. She also doesn't like the idea of her son helping out with housework of any kind, but she expects me to be in they yard helping him(thank goodness he likes to help out and vice-versa). She also expects me to work all day and then come home and slave over the stove while he sits around and does nothing. She has already informed me that I need to learn how to cook. She runs all over her other daughter-in-law, but I am not her, I am a stubborn b*tch.
I could sit her all day listing stuff, but I think that is enough. How was that for ya??

My Mother in law is a wonderful person.
But my near- miss Mother in law, was a Sad,Dole beat(only worked for 1Year in her 46),sex addict.
(all her children seen her do it,so did i )
Also, the man she brought home and later had 3 more children too, physically abused both of her sons, and she let him.
Now her eldest son has done time, is living in a bed sit at 36, and is going insane.
She thinks it's all his fault, and yet again, ignores him AND THINKS HE'S THE IDIOT. (She also put him in a children's home and gave away her younger son to someone else, in her family to bring him up)hows that for Mother in law from hell.
Lucky escape for me
This always puts things into prospective for me.

How long have you got?!! The most recent comment I had from her was whilst changing my 10 month olds nappy. My baby was wriggling around and whinging and crying, and not a bit interested in letting me change her nappy with any ease, and then my mother-in-law comes out with "you know, when babies suddenly cry, and don't want their nappies changed, it's a sign of abuse". It was everything I could do not to throw her out of the house there and then!

Well, mother in law is very negative about father in law. Which is very annoying since some of them are obvious lies.

have you got all night?
i got on fine with mine until i had my first child. she turned into a raving idiot after that. she made it her lifes ambition to irritate me constantly telling me how to look after him when to change a nappy , how to feed him (get the picture) the annoying thing was i was a nursery nurse i.d worked with kids since i was 14 ! she wanted me to take him round all day every day baring in mind the little bugger did not sleep p[roperly until he was three i was bloody knackered the last thing i wanted to do was sit with her lecturing me on things i knew how to do better than her! cow any way to cut a long story short she carried on like this until the birth of my second child. i finally had enough and told her to keep her trap shut. if i wanted advise i'd ask for it. anyway we dont speek anymore. merry christmas.
