the way ISLAM treats WOMEN???

i mean most women convert Islam because the way it treats her im a women and in Islam im treated the best..men open car doors when im going in,they help us,they don't let us stand in lines for stuff in markets for example,they let us pass first.if a women is carrying something heavy they help her with it,sometimes i wake up and my car is clea,because my old man neighbor cleaned it while cleaning his,i lived my whole life in Muslim countries. Palestine,Jordan,Saudi,Egypt and went to the USA and Britain but never found a good way in treating a women,only in Islam When a women is married,she can not work if she does not want,but she also can,both ways the HUSBAND is the one to spend money on her,the money she gets from work is hers, When she is hurt even by a touch she can go to court,Islam gives her the right to divorce and have money too,mom and all Muslim married women i knew in my whole life are treated LIKE QUEENS.Why do people say that Islam is against women?

You are SOOOOOOOOOOO right!! I am an American woman living in a Muslim country, marred to a Muslim man. I have NEVER BEEN TREATED BETTER IN MY LIFE. Unfortunately people here are so brainwashed by the media that they cannot possibly believe what we say. Also, many men don't want to hear that men in other cultures know how to treat their women properly. It's sad, but I will continue to live my happy life here. :-)

The true teaching of Islam is very profound and beautiful. However people who criticize Islam do not actually study the true teaching of Islam. Sometimes they just look at certain Muslims society that are heavily influenced by their culture and the observers think that is Islam and conclude that Islam is bad.

There are certain culture in some part in the rural areas of Africa and Pakistan (not all areas) that do not treat women nicely. But this is culture and not Islamic teaching.

Anyway, seriously, from your statements it seems that you A) take pride in being a freeloader, B) have no idea that you are being condescended, or C) all of the above. I mean, in USA, that is how we treat people with "special" conditions (like the mentally retarded, disabled, etc.), and I am pretty sure womanhood is not a "special" condition and women should be treated as EQUALS. 1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original
Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden
tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it
was Adam Not Eve {Qur'an 7:19-25}

2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a
loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Qur'an says both
are an Equal Blessing { Qur'an 42:49}

3. The Bible Forbids Women from Speaking in
church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Qur'an says
Women Can argue with the Prophet {58:1}

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as
an Adulteress, while men are not {Matthew 5:31-32}. The
Koran does Not have Biblical double standards
{ Qur'an 30:21}

5. In The Bible, Widows and Sisters do Not
Inherit Any Property or Wealth, Only men
do{Numbers 27:1-11}The Koran Abolished this
male greediness { Qur'an 4:22} and God Protects
All.


6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives{I Kings 11:3}
In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only
under certain situations (with the Wife's
permission)and Prefers you Marry Only One
Wife{ Qur'an 4:3} The Koran gives the Woman
the Right to Choose who to Marry.


7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not
pledged to be married and rapes her and they are
discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty
shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he
has violated her. He can never divorce her as long
as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}


One must ask a simple question here, who is
really punished, the man who raped the woman or
the woman who was raped? According to the
Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life
with the man who Raped You.


The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book
86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:" It is
essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the
marriage)".


Would the Christian men Reading this prefer the
Women they know to Be Christian or Muslim?


8. The Bible also asks Women to wear veils as in
Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}, this lowers the
chance of rape, (God Forbid), see statistic link
below.


9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a
100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave
Women Voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

10. Islam has unconfined Women and has given them
the human right to reach for the sky. There have been
Muslim Women Presidents through out the centuries,
but to this date, the oppressive mentality of the
men in the Western U.S.A. has stopped any Women from becoming
Presidents in predominately Christian countries,
while the Muslim countries have voted for and
elected Female Presidents.

ppl believe whatever makes them feel better... believe me i know. i am a convert but i was a model here in the us b4 i converted. Islam gives women more respect than most girls in the west could ever dream of. women are regarded as precious and valuable throughout their whole lives by Islam. "Heaven is at the feet of the mother." Women in the west are used up for sex and beauty and then thrown out like trash. the view of women in Islam is one of the main reasons i converted. I thank God everyday that i am living my life as a Muslim woman.

In Saudi you would not be allowed to leave the house with out your, son brother, father or husband with you, you cannot drive a car. It is almost impossible for a woman to get a divorce if she is in an abusive relationship.

You sound like you are treated like an expensive glass vase. Too precious to do anything even express your opinion. It sounds like you are treated like an object and the men in your life are condescending.

You never lived in Saudi or if you did you are delusional. That country has one of the worst records for women in the world.

We just watched a documentary about a 16 yr old girl executed(by the RELIGIOUS arm of the government) in Iran because she had sex. What did they do to the male invovled??? NOTHING!!!!
We have a problem with stuff like that here.
