Hello, I am 18 years old and I have just got an infraction/"Disturbing the Peace". Will this hurt me on job applications or getting licenses? I have a job interview coming up with the Police Department to become a police cadet. Will this infraction significantly reduce my chances of becoming a police cadet or becomeing a police officer? Do I even HAVE to tell them about the infraction?
Thanks in Advance!

If you got a disorderly conduct or "disturbing the peace" citation,
that will show up on a criminal history report. I promise you, the Dept. you are appling to WILL check your criminal history.
So, will that stop you from getting on that Dept? No.
However, if it is a toss up between you and another who has never received that ticket, then it may matter.
If you fail to report it, and they find it, that will raise ethical questions which WILL prevent you from even being interviewed.
It's up to you, but I would man up and take my chances. I have done background checks for my Dept. and I have more respect for someone who says that they were stupid one night than someone who tries to hide something.

It shouldn't hurt your ability to get a job or a license of any kind, except perhaps for the Police Cadet one. Then it depends on what you got arrested or cited FOR.
I would definately tell your background investigator about it. Be honest and explain exactly what happened. They are going to find out anyway, and if you lie or don't tell them, they are going to figure that you are dishonest and it may seriously hurt your chances of getting in to the academy.

it depends on the application, some ask you for felony of criminal charges. that is not a criminal charges, now if they ask you for any offense then you have to. You dont have to tell the pd because they already know, they won't call you back... but some departments will accept you if you have minor offense. some even accept ex-pot smokers...
unless you didnt pay or it has not cleared, you shouldnt have a problem with a license

Yes it will hurt you. Yes you need to bring it up becasue they will already know about it. Yes you need to contest the charge and try to get it dropped. Yes you need to admit how you screwed up to get the ticket when they ask you during the interview.
