Long long hair rarely looks good. Get it cut, in layers. That way, you can keep your length and it won't look so boring

I would imagine, having long hair myself, that you'd rather not part with it. You might consider getting a good 5" or so cut off if the fact that it's SO long bothers you. DO NOT go for layers, they work best on short-med hair as they start off at the jaw & work down to the shoulders, meaning people who have that style like to keep their hair at that short length & will maintain the layers. For very long hair it will result in split ends on many different levels.
In terms of styling I find a hairband/headband (depends where you're from, but it's the same item!) effective in keeping hair from falling around my face & off my shoulders. If you want to stop if falling from your back around your waist, plait your hair. Simple but sooo effective, it even looks good with the waves when you take it out. Maybe try a high ponytail or a low bun. If you do go for a cut and take off lots of hair have fun wearing it down with accessories, or try a side parting!

I would recommend applying a styling product to your hair when it's wet, like a mousse or a gel. Depending on your hair type, whether it has a natural wave or straight, I would style it from there.

I have really long hair too! My hair is naturally wavy, or curly, depending on how I style it. If I want to make my hair really full and curly, I apply product such as mousse or Bed Head Manipulator and then dry it upside down while scrunching it. If you have straight hair, I would still recommend the Manipulator, because it separates your hair and you can section it and make it look really cool. You can apply it and twist your hair, then let it naturally dry. You'll get a cool separated look.

As for styling, I would try new things, like pulling half of your hair up and twisting it into a clip. I've also twisted my hair up and then put hot rollers in and then "ratting" it up and it looks really fun!

Long hair gives you so many options, you can do so much! Just have fun and play with different clips. Goody makes a ton of different clips for pulling your hair up. I love the "octopus" clip. You can just clip it in and pull strands out and do a lot of cool things!

If you're really stuck go online and do a search for long hair styling tips. You will find a lot!!

Email me if you need help!

Good luck!

Well any way that you cut it, make sure to donate your hair to locks of love and make sure you tell them before hand so they can put it in a ponytail. All locks of love donations go to children who have cancer and do not have hair of their own. Its always a good thing to make a child smile and feel more normal. Hope ya find a haircut that works for you.

Also.. when you get a haircut, you need to go with a style that works not only with your hair but with your face. Someone who looks good in a shag might have a different face shape than you. Someone that looks good in a layered cut could have a different shaped face. Go to you local salon and ask the cosemetologist what type of hair cuts would best suit your face shape and facial features. I am sure they will give you several to choose from. Then pick the one you like best and go for it.

Hi, I no where your coming from, my hair is nearly bottom length and as I'm 5' 11 it's very long. I would suggest some curling tongs and give it a bit of a kink to it. Or just a side parting and look very flattering.

Never do a shag!!!
It messes up your hair's length.
Why dont you try a layer cut?
It's fashionable!!~
If you have a wide forhead get some bangs~
If you have a ovalish face try some waves, they look really smooth and nice on long and short hair
expecially on layer cuts!!~
I have shart hair that is in a layer cut.
I have an ovalish face, my hair is wavey and nice!!~

I would say if you cut it in layers it would look perfect I know because I also have long hair and it always looks nice when it's layered and with a little bit of streaks in it like say for instance if your hair is dark put like a dark red streak in it

i have really long hair as well, keep the length, but get some layers cause when its curled its really cute, side bangs are always an adorable thing too and i recommend Paul Mitchel super skinny products to keep your hair shiny and healthy looking :)

Discuss with a hairdresser you trust BEFORE deciding. trouble is that the weight of your hair is probobly going to pull any curls etc down. The right product, amount & the way you use it will help tho

You could try plaiting it with 4 strands instead of the usual 3. looks interesting and get attention because people can't quite put there finger on what is different.
