I've been an addict for the past four years. I've been clean since March, but i get really bad seasonal depression, and i had one slip up 2 weeks ago when it was put in front of me (i have been trying to staying away from people who use, and i have for the most part), Today i bought 3 points of gak. I quit on my own, cold turkey in March, i've never stolen anything, or lost a job to drugs. I don't look like a junkie, i have been working steadily and living on my own since i was 17 (i'm 23 now), i have always paid my bills, and i have never sold my body to get junk. Right now i have a full time job and i go to college for Graphic Design. I'm taking some coding classes (HTML) and because of my ADD, i have a really hard time focusing on coding my websites. Meth seems to be the only way that i can finish my HTML websites without getting distracted, or forgetting something and getting really confused. If anyone knows of alternative to help me concentrate i would be so grateful.

honey, you're gonna hear it a million times. stop using. it's the only way. yes i am an addict. it sucks. i will always be an addict, but the thing is, i'm not a user. (anymore) it's not to say that i like it that way, because i don't. it pisses me off most days, this life just seems so scary sometimes, it's hard to face on a sober stomach. but it has to be done. it comes down to making a choice. either you want to live or you want to die. it's as simple as that. you are so very young to be tossing your life out the window. don't let yourself be flat on your back before you can look up. aim towards your future, the past is history. one step at a time. you just took the first one. i will remember you in my journey.

There has been studies saying that addiction is a genetic disorder, and that certain people have a preponderance towards addiction. That is not an excuse perse, but it could be a reason for you to be concerned in that you can stop beating yourself up for your addictive personage. It is a one day at a time situation, and I too suffer from addictive behaviour ( pot smoking , and yes people you can become addicted to pot ), and I have to take things one day at a time. It is an escape mechanism, and you may want to find some other way to help yourself other that using a drug that you know is going to eventually kill you ! Meth is a killer, and no one escapes it's destructive nature, you must stop that now ! I would to to NA and start talking to people about your problem, and although I am not religious, I do not disdain turning to God ( as one of the other people expressed ) as it is truly a viable way of dealing with problems greater than you. Good Luck and live!

I have been there myself. mostly booze, but painkillers, meth, cocaine, and speed.

im clean now but i needed two weeks off work with FAMILY and CLOSE friends to keep my mind off it. I found that 3-4 weeks i as my body was flushing everything away, was the worst, and you wannt to do it all again to ease the pain.

god is with you also, take care and good luck.

Try smoking weed. It is still a drug but a less harmful drug. It helps a lot with ADD and ADHD.
