About five years ago, I woke up and found that I was levitating. It did not feel like a dream, and I couldn't get down. About a week later, I woke up but I couldn't move. I looked and saw a man climb through my 8th story window. He looked like Jesus. Then he stood over my bed and held me down and laughed maniacally. Again, it did not seem like a dream. It seemed very real. Am I schizophrenic maybe? Serious answers please.

Oh, I did a sleep study. During the study, I woke up five times and heard the attendants talking through the intercome. When they woke me up in the morning, I called the name of the attendant that I heard talking in the middle of the night - Chris. The attendant was like, "No I'm not chris, but I have a brother named Chris." Weird. Anyways, they said that I only woke up once technically and that I have 50% more REM sleep than the average person. So whoever said sleep paralysis is probably right.

It sounds a lot like sleep paralysis. I found a good page on it, check it out if you want to. You can also help the research by describing your experience.

I had a couple of those incidents years ago (also short intervals) one also involving levitation and the other, someone holding me down (a mythical figure) I associated it with the fact that I was beginning meditation at that time and this could have caused the lucid dreaming. It was scary but exciting and the idea of mental disease didn't enter my mind. Years later, I'm still here, fully functional (thank God) and not any crazier than back then.

Inside your body is a spirit. It sounds like you left your body and were present in the spirit. There is nothing in of itself strange about this, as all human beings have spirits. The concern is, why are you leaving your body? That needs to be dealt with.

The figure you saw couldn't have been Jesus. Jesus would not laugh mechanically and hold you down. If it were actually Jesus, you would feel incredible light and love radiating from Him. Your spirit should not be leaving your body randomly. Ask God to protect you and keep your spirit in tact. Seriously. The answer is to pray to Jesus for protection.

This was a demon not Jesus.Jesus dose not do this...But Satan dose and He can look like who ever He wants to.And know you are not crazy a lot of people experience this. When it happens again if it dose just say Jesus,s name over and over and over and it will leave you alone all you have to do is demand it leave in Jesus name God bless you.But you are being tempted by Satan.Merry Christmas. And don't be afraid if you do what I tell you it will leave you alone.

It is astral projection. Of course , Jesus wasn't laughing at you and holding you down. I have had dreams so real, I tell myself, in the dream, to smell........to kick a rock.......etc.

The dream of Christ holding you down after coming through a 8th story window. At the time.....were you struggling with traditional Christian beliefs, and at the same time time 'looking into' alternative religions and/or beliefs?

Astral states is when our sub-conscience is in control after our conscience is dormat. Sleeping......drug-induced.........hypnotized.......day-dreaming.....

You are not schizo! Just moving into and exploring\evolving into a stage in your life.

you seem like hallucinating. have you ever thought of visiting a psychiatrist or something? seriously, i think you need to. or should i just assume you are being oppressed by evil spirits? i really think a visit to a psychiatrist will be good for you.

that's a very serious answer from me.

Find a good Christian church close to home and talk with the Pastor there. He can pray over you, counsel and guide you. (It is free of charge).
I pray the best for you.

God Bless!

prayer is your best friend at this point for this so I suggest pray a lot because it is a possibility that it was the devil himself whom came in disguised as Jesus so you never know and also blessing your house never hurts either

Evil spirits. You need to have a blessing. Get ahold of the LDS Missionaries and have them give you a blessing and bless your house.

Further, you need to pray and read your scriptures. Something invited them in, you need to get rid of them.

Man, your story scared the **** out of me.
