No.
Unless there is a God who is into making jokes and trying to hurt mankind. I suppose it could be argued that a God made the universe in such a way that it came into existence already being some 14 to 20 Billion years old, with all the light travelling between stars created at the same moment.
But somehow I don't think that a God that is supposed to be a God of Love, who wants salvation of his 'people', would pull such a prank on them, to make them not believe.
So no. I don't think it is less than 10,000 years. The Vedas accurately describe a landscape that was underwater 11,000 years ago, and they were written by men, who must have been alive a the time, to know the landscape existed.
So how could it be less than 10,000 years?

I know you will get many answers on this. Some good and some bad. This is the truth this planet as documented in the bible is of great age. People just do not study the bible well. The exact age is unknown and even science types have to admit that. Life as we know it with modern man is approximently 5970 years at this time. But modern man is all the bible really speaks of. There was another race of man before us. And a angleic race before that. That is in the bible also. The ice age was a product of God sealing up the stars so they could not shine. This was when God thru satan to the earth. There was a great anglic civilation on the earth at one time. God destroyed it due to rebellion. He used ice to due it. Then there were the mighty men of old spoke of before the flood. They predate adam. Adam is made in the image of God. The might men were not made in the image of God. really they could not even be called human. That race and most of the people on earth died in the great flood. We are the lintage of noah. Thus far the earth has been destroyed twice the final destruction is coming. The first time was by ice the second was by water the third time will be by fire.
In Genesis when it states a day is the raising and the setting that is a hebrew saying meaning a set intervel of time. Most people do understand that. Day were created after the creation of this is not a literal 24 hour period. It is a literal intervel of unknown time.

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth (Gen 1:1) this could happen millions of years ago. Then in Gen 1:2 'The earth was without form, and void . . .' The 6,000 years start from Gen 1:2 and the Bible' story from this time period is about God's dealings with Adamic race only and not with His other creations previously. Physical evidence shows that life (eg dinosaurs) existed more than 6,000 years ago but in Gen 1:2 the earth was void so there must a major destruction (some believed it was caused by Lucifer's rebellion to God) of the previous life forms before Gen 1:2 which the Bible is silent about. The earth acording to the Bible is more than 6,000 years old from the beginning (Gen 1:1) and from not Gen 1:2

Not to force any views on anyone, just to put this out there. If you look at the Bible and set it's timeline in the creation of life next to that of todays science you find that they coincide (let there be light=big bang, all life coming from water, etc.) Also there is a verse in the Bible that says that to God, time moves faster, so 1 secod could equal many, many years. So in the eye of God, yes the world could very well have existed for 10,000 years, but not in the eyes of man.

I believe the earth is much older, not all who trust in creation think the earth was made in 24 hour time periods. Verifiable written records of early civilization date only in the 2 or 3 tho0usands b.c. and archeological digs reveal ciites in those periods with some of the same luxuries we have today such as indoor plumbing. It's not that hard to believe that man hasn't been around that long when u look at the incredible changes the earth has made in just the past century.

Religion tries to blindfold it's followers from the fact that there is so much proof that dinosaurs and other living things lived on this planet millions of years ago. Don't forget that belief in a man who lives in a cloud was the "brainchild" of ancient ignorant people who also thought that the earth was flat.

Life has been here for millions of years, in one form or another. We only have had recorded history of it for less than 10,000 years.
Does it matter how old the earth is? If you believe in G-d, it is all from him---no matter how it evolved and for how long it has been doing so.

Yes, in fact the entire universe is only about 6000 years old. I know this because it says so in Genesis, which I know to be the divine Word of God which is all 100% true, no matter how stupid it looks in the face of modern science. That is because modern science is nothing but lies concocted by Satan to drive God's children away from Him. But I know the truth, because it is written in the Bible and the Bible is God's Word. And I know that the Bible is God's Word because the Bible says so. And there are a couple of other things in the Bible which are true, therefore the whole thing must be. Also, I never finished the 4th grade and my parents are blood relatives.

The correct Bible number is 6000 years not 10000 years, BUT what they do not put into account is before 6,000 years ago God and man lived outside of time in eternity. So how can you compare eternity to time and space. Heaven is a place outside of time and the Bible teaches a day in Heaven is same as one thousand years on earth, in our deminsion; 2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. So all of creation might have been billions and billions of years by our time. No man can say time, outside of time
