if you have proof.
but before you do, its best that you submit a 30 day notice that you will be leaving the property. then press charges.

What was going on right before he threatened you?
I'm sure you've NEVER said "I going to kill him/her" just because you were angry - and though you'd never really kill them.
And if the answer to my first question is good enough, (and most cops can tell if you're lying) then you can file a report and see about pressing charges.
But I agree that you should move. If you file a report saying they threatened your life, you might be allowed to move immediately because you felt unsafe. Especially if you have children.
I'd consult an attorney first though.

I thought you can threaten all you want but if you have a weapon or whatever in your hand when you do it it is a crime. The person charged would probably not get in too much trouble unless it is a serious threat like a bomb or gun. IMO

The police officials may be called for ANY reason. it really is even if the State legal specialist needs to take the case. i imagine if I overheard someone became going to kill me, i'd call them too -- may as well conceal your butt, precise?
