I've been an addict for the past four years. I've been clean since March, but i get really bad seasonal depression, and i had one slip up 2 weeks ago when it was put in front of me (i have been trying to staying away from people who use, and i have for the most part), Today i bought 3 points of gak. I quit on my own, cold turkey in March, i've never stolen anything, or lost a job to drugs. I don't look like a junkie, i have been working steadily and living on my own since i was 17 (i'm 23 now), i have always paid my bills, and i have never sold my body to get junk. Right now i have a full time job and i go to college for Graphic Design. I'm taking some coding classes (HTML) and because of my ADD, i have a really hard time focusing on coding my websites. Meth seems to be the only way that i can finish my HTML websites without getting distracted, or forgetting something and getting really confused. If anyone knows of alternative to help me concentrate i would be so grateful.

Have you ask a dr about maybe straterra? NON-STIMULANT for ADD. I doubt you should be put on any of the others, considering your history of "substance abuse".

However, Don't let one slip - be the begining of what leads to the big fall! Get back on track. You did it once, ON YOUR OWN WiLLPOWER (way to go!) You can do it again!

Just remember, one is too many, and a thousand is never enough.

Good Luck

Coffee is good but only as a temporary fix since you don't want o become a caffein addict too, it's not fun. Try meditating insted, when you fell your self starting to get distracted just walk away, go somewhere quiet and then think over what ever is bothering you at the moment, when you feel ready return to your work.
You're not really here for suggestions though, are you? What you really want is to not get anything useful so you have an excuse. You got off this stuff once and I think you are totally awsome for that, but do you really want to do it again.

You may have a job and be a student, but, with addiction, that could change. I was a heroin addict in college. I still managed to do my work & graduate. But, just because I was able to maintain a certain degree of normalcy, didn't mean I wasn't a junkie. Once school was over, things went downhill. Please don't justify your drug use by listing all the ways your life is going well. I used to do that! I kept saying, "I'm okay, after all, I'm still in school" or "at least I'm not like him/her". You have a lot to lose. And, if you continue to use, believe me, you will lose it all! "John L" brings up a good point.

Caffeine is a stimulant that should help you focus. Try some of the really strong stuff like no doz or the diet pills. I like this kind called guana extract really gives you a boost. Try to stick to the legal drugs. Why can't you go on Ritalin?

anything for ADD is going to make you wish it was meth, I've quit cigarettes, and coke, you just gotta stop using and it sucks, but people swear it goes away, but I feel like I'll always be different (sad) My advise for concentration is take frequent breaks, just walk around the room, do something else, when you start to get restless, also no TV, if you need background music it should be something you won't focus on, maybe techno cause it has no words and goes on forever

Oh my gosh. You sound like such a great person! Please see a doctor and see if they can give you some meds to help you through this. Self medicating with meth will really screew you up.

Soon you'll be talking about the way you used to be and wondering where it all went.

Hi Sarah-I wanted to ask you some questions about Vancouver and Victoria, but you don't have e-mail access via Yahoo Answers, so I am asking you here since it was my only way to contact you.
